Today in class we discussed the issue of illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is a very opinionated subject in America and has been at the center of many political debates. Your blog assignment is to post at least seven sentences saying what an illegal immigrant is, why illegal immigration is a problem, who you think is to blame for it, what is being done to stop it, and should the U.S. continue to put money into preventing immigration(why?) or could there be another solution (if so what?). Illegal immigration is when people enter our country without being legal or the permission to enter. It hurts our economy for people out of our country to take jobs that a US citizen should have. Many drugs are being brought into the US. Our government should enforce the laws we already have to prevent illegal immigration. The US is trying to stop it by increasing border security, fences, and deportation. The problem is so many immigrants are already here. US could use the money to help support Mexico's government by improving their economy and jobs in their own country. If Mexico improves their own country, they won't have as many people try to immigrate to the US. This could be a win win situation for both countries. Brooks Bell
ReplyDeleteIllegal immigration is when people from a different country come into America illegally. One of the problems with illegal immigrates is that they can't get insurance so if they get hurt the tax payers have to pay for it. I feel that the Mexican government is to blame because they're not putting enough effort into making sure there are enough jobs in their country. America has spent a lot of money in making sure the border is secure. I think America should continue spending money on this because no one else is trying to stop them from crossing over. One way to stop illegal immigration would be to advise the Mexican government on ways to improve their economy. Another way to reduce illegal immigration is by making it easier for immigrants to enter legally to jobs that Americans won't do. Kendall Chapman
ReplyDeleteIllegal immigration is when people from other country enter a different country illegally. The problems are that they could not go to the hospital without insurance. The only one we can blame is the mexico government because there are not enough jobs for the mexicans.The way we can stop the illegal immigrates is that we can have all of the border covered with walls and security guards for the border.Ryan Antona
ReplyDeleteIllegal imagration is when someone from another country enters a country illegally. The problem is that if you cross the border illegally you don't have insurance so if you hurt yourself the doctors can't do anything about it. Another reason it is a problem is you can not have a drivers license so that will increase the amount of car crashes. The person whom to blame for this is the Mexican. The way we can stop this is to secure the border with more hi-tec security. The government has already spent a lot of money and they still should. That i what I think illegal immagration is.
ReplyDeleteIllegal imigration is when other people try to sneak into America(mostly Mexicans). I blame the Mexican government. It's their job to try to make a better economy for Mexico; that causes a problem for America. The Mexicans smuggle drugs into America, buy cars without licenses, and can't get insurance; and the police can't stop them once they're in America. THEY'RE wasting OUR MONEY to STOP THEM!!! The U.S. has thousands of soldiers that could be wasting their time on something else if it were'nt for Mexico! There should be a high steel fence that runs across the whole border; then nobody could cross over either side without going through a security a security gate.
ReplyDeleteIllegal immigration is bad because people who come in should follow the law. If you break the law you should be sent back to the country you came from. They cannot get a legal job and we pay for their care. This is not allowed in other countries....the US should protect and take care of its citizens. Sarah Elliott
ReplyDeleteIllegal immigration is when people from other countries come in to the U.S illegally it is bad for are economy because the U.S citizens can loose their jobs because an immigrant takes their place, we also pay for their care if they get hurt they don't have insurance but if they are hurt badly enough the tax payers will pay for it.

illegal immigration is a problem. the US cant support every person that wants to be here an illegal imigrant is a person from a foreign country that does have the proper ID to live in the US. I would blame the mexican gov. they need to pay more attention to their people. the border patrol has surveilence cameras and what not. I dont thhink there should be more money put into it because we really dont notice it anyway. I dont know if there is another solution.
